What is the process of a ClientProject?

Client projects follow basic steps:1.Client identifies a problem/issue to beaddressed2.Client provides a PROJECT BRIEF that generally describes the nature of  theproblem/issue3.Client asks interested companies/consultants to BID for thework4.Consultants submit a report that clearly shows and explains howtheywould do thestudy5.

The Client selects the bid that best fits theirneeds6.

The Client gives the successful Consultant the money to do thework7.The Consultant does the tasks that were identified in the BIDreportThe client project will be identified by yourself –you are looking for a  project your company would benefitfrom.You will not be expected to work out the costs of the project –we wantyouto focus on the relevant methods

Why Am I aConsultant?•One of the key skills for a manager is to be able to understand whatisrequired in a task and set out the best way to achieveit•This is essentially about COMMUNICATION –a fundamental management  skill•Clients can exist within a company as well as outside e.g.departmentslooking for projects to be completed; scarce resources to be bidfor•Bidding for a research project is a good way of developing a range of  research and communicationskills•You have to THINK AHEAD about what would need to bedone•The purpose of the report is to show the client What you would doandWhy you would use the methods identified•
