Applicants who wish to be considered as a nominee from the School of Social Work must submit an additional essay that addresses the following:
Nominee’s narrative statement on how their background, experiences, and achievements will contribute to the University’s goal of promoting excellence through diversity. If applicable, nominees should describe hardships or obstacles they have overcome to achieve academic success; for example, coming from a low-income background or being a first-generation college student.Interested applicants should come from diverse backgrounds, and should have demonstrated strong academic potential in their undergraduate program. In the past, successful nominees have had an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
